Knowledge to End the Stigma
Intersections e.V. and Women Now for Development jointly produced a campaign called ‘Knowledge to End the Stigma’.
The campaign covered a wide range of topics, including:
- Depression after detention
- Whether the Legal Status Law is fair to women survivors
- Deprivation of child custody
- Stigma in general related to violence against women
- The story of a detainee who was raped
- Zahra and Safaa, two women who survived torture
- The story of Umm Muhammad, a woman who survived detention
- A survey of some of the difficulties faced by survivors after detention
- Fatima, a survivor of detention and another victim of stigma
- The story of the survivor Huda
- The marriage of a survivor to a foreign fighter to escape the stigma of society
- Stigma is social violence that haunts survivors in the workplace
- The survivor of detention pays the price for a crime she did not commit
- The stories of female detainees are difficult for journalists to confront
- Customs and traditions, not values and laws
- Stigmatizing women in the family is another form of violence that increases the burden on the survivor
- Digital violence against women survivors
